With a Third of the RSCX Season Complete, How Is Your Favorite Team Looking?

Hey there RSC family!

I’ma be real with you right now. This is gonna be one he*k of an info dump, so strap in. We’re already over a third of the way through the season and everyone should have played their conference rivals by now. It’s still early, so everyone is truly still in the hunt for a playoff spot. Those of us that are under the cut are hunting for opportunities to make an upset and make up some ground. Those that are atop the charts are already imagining a cup beside their name and coming strong every day to protect their playoff aspirations. And those that are FAs are hoping for their chance to get rostered and be part of a wildcard juggernaut.

End of Week 1 News Dump

Hey RSC family!

In case you missed it, here’s the hot goings-on around the league:

Firstly, RSC is proud to announce a partnership with Ballchasing, the preeminent replay analyzing service for Rocket League. Ballchasing has so many good features to help you better break down and understand what you’re doing right and wrong from game to game. Demos, average speed, boost collection and usage, movement heatmaps, even a 3d rendering of the game watchable through any browser… it’s bananas. If you want to see what they have to offer, check out the collected stats for Season X. If you’re on PC, you can upload your replays directly or give bakkesmod permission to upload for you. Start using this tool and start being more aware of how you play.

Secondly, the Twitch stream has been rebranded to bring double the streamed content every night, so make sure you keep your eyes on the stream schedule to know which channel you want to catch live, RSC Solar or RSC Lunar, but all matches will be available shortly thereafter on the Youtube Feed.

Third, I want to take a moment to shout out shane9b3 for his masterwork on the stream layout. The screen animations and theming during and between games are so on point this season, it’s not even funny.

Lastly, I have a little guilt trip for you. I can’t write you up a full match preview for Monday yet because your team isn’t signed up for the Solar 11:30P slot yet. Think your team’s going to wreck house and you want to show off? Are you confident you have a tight matchup on your hands? Either way, get your Captain to hop in the opponent’s DMs, then ping them in #rsc-official-stream-signups when you’re ready to lock it in. We can’t wait to bring you 4 matches from around the RSC every match night.

Match Day 2. Get your game on then check out these spicy matches

This is how the first week goes down. Is your team crushing it or do y’all got some work left in the lab? Trick question, we all have work left to do in the lab.

Are you rostered and want your team to play on stream? The schedule can be found here. Make sure your captain picks a good match and applies for it in #RSC-Official-Stream-Signups on the RSC server. Signups open the week before the scheduled stream at Noon EST. If the main stream is filled, please continue applying. Our stream team still wants to stream your matches, but we need people on the schedule to activate the Lunar Stream, so start bugging your team to get things rolling.

If you’re a Free Agent and you haven’t already, make sure you get in on the FA Discord Server. They’re holding matches and reporting stats all season on Match Days so that the GMs and decision makers have up to date information on everyone’s skills.

That said, let’s take a peek at the matchups on the Solar Stream that will be commentated by baX and strutt (with musah holding things down on stream production). First up at 10:50 PM EST, we have some of the heavy hitters up in Master flexing those skills in this matchup between The Hamburgers and Hot Dogs (I’m dubbing this the Cookout Showmatch)

Opening Day Festivities!

Happy Opening Day, RSC family!

This Monday Jan 25, 2021 is Match Day 1! This is the day that the points count and playoff positioning is on the line!

tr1ppn and visionaryone (with musah running the decks on the 1s and 2s) will be going live about 10:45 on Twitch to ring in the season with a double Major showdown.

In the 10:50 slot, we’ll be watching the Gladiators vs Water

This match will be followed in the 11:30 slot by Lynx vs Tyrannosaurus

Preseason Match Day 3 Hype!

What a whirlwind of a preseason. There have been too many people on two teams to all fit in the same lobby. Captains aren’t set yet, so we’re firing DMs semi-blindly to the opposing team to set up arrangements for games. Many cuts and team shifts have been made to try to secure the strongest team under salary cap going into Opening Day.

Today is the final dress rehearsal. Teams are down to 4 players. Tonight we test to see if the teams have what it takes to go the distance or if we need to be keeping an eye on all those FAs that were trimmed without having a chance to shine (Pro tip: About half of the teams will have sub-.500 records, so there should be lots of teams searching for overlooked gold).

Season X Draft Hype

Goodbye 2020, Hello 2021!

Hey there, RSC family!

Tonight we bid farewell to 2020 and usher in a fresh year on the grind. There is nothing official going down tonight, but I’m sure there should be at least a few folks having adult beverages and queueing 6-mans.

Things are about to start moving quickly for Season X, so get ready for things to get bumping here soon. Be sure to catch the draft lottery this Sunday 1/3 on the RSC Twitch Channel to find out where your favorite franchise is going to land on the draft board. This will be the last week of combines, so make sure you get yourself noticed 1/4 and 1/6. If you’re on a team and waiting to find out if you’re getting cut loose for the draft, the last day for GMs to finalize cuts and re-signs is 1/8 with the draft going hot and heavy Monday 1/11.

Mask up and stay safe out there, fam. Drinking and driving is a no-no all the time, but the po-po go extra hard on New Year’s Eve. We need you alive and free if you’re making a play for a Championship Cup in Season X.

Good luck and don’t be afraid to triple commit. Sometimes you just gotta make sure.

Last December Combine Week Hype!

Hey there RSC family!

Season X is approaching rapidly. Don’t forget that we still have combines tonight and Friday (12/16 & 12/18) at 9PM EST. Get out there and get yourself noticed so all the scouts have something to think about over the holiday break.

If you haven’t put in much time into combines, don’t get down on yourself too hard, but you’re running out of time. We’ll be picking back up again for 2 days in January (1/4 & 1/6), but don’t wait. Secure your spot in the hearts and minds of the scouts ASAP.

Season X Hype and Season 9 Recap

Hey there RSC family!

Combines start tonight! If you’re not in yet, now is the perfect time to get in our Discord and get registered for Season X of RSC. You’ll need to have 75 games of Ranked 3s on your account in either Season 1 or the upcoming Season 2 to play this season, so I hope y’all have been on that grind.

As the hype train winds up for Season X, let’s take a moment to acknowledge a few small changes that went down in the offseason and recap how it all went down to close out Season 9.

First off, big congrats go out to TinyElephant and his crew in The Empire for securing GM of the Season and Franchise of the Season. This 7 team squad went an overall 271-141 (.658) to secure the highest win percentage for the regular season, sent 6 teams to the playoffs, and his TIE Fighters clinched a cup in Challenger.

Second, it’s a pleasure to announce that Feen and itonydelatorre will be returning to their posts as admins for the next 2 seasons.
